October 7th: Question Everything Series Night 1
This Life Night begins by introducing the central environment piece for this series, the question box. After the introduction, the Core Team spends the rest of the Gather in small groups discussing the driving question for the Life Night: “How do we know God exists?” In the Proclaim, the youth minister or Core Member shares about coming to believe in God through reason, a process that the Church supports by encouraging us to ask questions and find the truth. In the Break, the teens participate in a Jeopardy-style game to recap the basic ideas of the Proclaim. During the Send, a Core Member shares a personal testimony, and the teens pray the Litany of Trust to ask God for the grace to trust as they ask big questions in this series.

Finally, the Send encourages teens to think about the tools Christ has given them through the Church to achieve holiness and asks the teens to write down one tool they plan to use more often as they continue grow in faith.

Fall RETREAT-SEARCH
NOVEMBER 2-4, 2018
Walker Percy, a Catholic American author, wrote, “To become aware of the possibility of a search is to be onto something. Not to be onto something is to be in despair.” Most of us are aware that we are onto something because we have hope and find ourselves desiring and asking questions about love, happiness, and purpose. But in a culture that gives us conflicting answers, we may find ourselves lost. It is the Gospel message which personally guides our search for truth. God created each of us intentionally, out of love, and for a purpose. Our hearts search for God and will not be content until united with Him. During this retreat, we will embark on the search for God together. It is easy to look to Google for answers, but only God reaches into our lives and gives us a personal response.
